At Your Village STL, we understand the importance of a thorough assessment for your child's speech and language development. Here's what you can expect during the evaluation process:
Duration: A typical speech-language evaluation takes approximately 60-90 minutes.
Personalized Assessment: I will begin by reviewing background information and discussing your concerns about your child's speech and language skills.
Tailored Testing: Based on the information gathered, I will carefully select the most appropriate testing items to assess your child's speech and language abilities.
Engaging Approach: We believe in making evaluations as engaging and enjoyable as possible. I will use play-based techniques to keep your child actively participating throughout the assessment.
Review and Discussion: Once the testing is completed, I will meticulously review the results with you. Together, you'll discuss your goals for therapy and determine the appropriate frequency for services, if needed.
My commitment is to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of your child's needs and a clear path forward towards their speech and language development goals.

Kelsey Sullins
Speech-Language Pathologist
Hi! I'm Kelsey, a pediatric speech language pathologist. I was born and raised here in St. Louis. Life led my family on an adventure due to my husband's military service, which exposed me to a range of pediatric settings. I have worked in homes, preschools, clinics, and elementary schools. Now that my husband has switched career paths, we've returned to St. Louis with our two daughters, and I couldn't be happier.
I am a graduate of Wichita State University with a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. As a speech language pathologist, I can help with your child’s communication challenges, both in how they communicate with others and how they understand communication. Over the last seven years, I have developed a passion for working with the pediatric population and their families. My play- based approach fosters a fun and nurturing atmosphere where your child's confidence and communication skills will flourish. I also prioritize aligning with parents' goals for their child. I believe it's crucial to empower parents with effective techniques they can utilize at home to support their child's success beyond the therapy room.
Madeline Synder
Speech-Language Pathologist
Hi! My name is Madeline Snyder. I have been a pediatric speech language pathologist since 2019. I am originally from the St. Louis area and am happy to be able to serve this community. I received my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southeast Missouri State University. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and welcomed our first baby, Luke, in May 2024. My experience includes working in preschools, pediatric outpatient clinics, and early intervention through Missouri First Steps.
Communication limitations not only affect the child, but can also have an impact on the family. I feel the most important part about being a speech language pathologist is giving families the tools to help develop their child’s communication. I believe that building this relationship with families is crucial in seeing these communication skills flourish outside the therapy room. I use a play-based approach to therapy, because I believe play is one of the best ways to connect with a child and help them develop new skills. I look forward to working with your child and seeing their communication skills grow. “
Natalie Carr
Speech-Language Pathologist
Hi, I'm Natalie! I am a speech-language pathologist and have been practicing since 2021. I earned my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Louis University and have always worked within the pediatric population. I am originally from St. Louis and have a strong interest in early intervention, augmentative and alternative communication, and articulation therapy. I also have a background in working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
What I enjoy most about being a speech-language pathologist is helping children develop the skills they need to communicate with confidence. I find it incredibly rewarding to support children as they grow in their ability to express themselves, whether through speech, language, or alternative communication methods. I value building meaningful relationships with families and strive to create therapy sessions that are supportive, engaging, and individualized to each child.
Annamarie Tucker
Speech-Language Pathologist
Hi! I’m Annamarie, a speech-language pathologist dedicated to helping children build the skills and confidence to connect with the world around them. I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and earned my master’s degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Knoxville, TN. While living in Knoxville, I met my husband, and we later moved to Kansas City before eventually settling in St. Louis, where he is originally from.
I have experience across a variety of settings, from classrooms serving students with IEPs to providing clinic-based and in-home therapy for articulation and language development. I support children with a wide range of needs, including speech sound disorders, language delays, AAC, social communication, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and feeding challenges.
I am committed to providing neurodiversity-affirming care through a play-based, child-led approach. I believe in meeting each child where they are, celebrating every milestone, and partnering closely with families throughout the therapy process. My goal is to help children build confidence, discover their strengths, and make meaningful progress in a supportive, engaging environment while making therapy effective and empowering for both children and their caregivers.
